Moving Reservations

I’m second-guessing my decision to move in with my brother Ben. I called him last night to go over some small details and was very displeased with the results.
“Hey, Ben, can my shoes live in your bedroom since it’s bigger and there are so many of them?”
“No.”
“OK, well can I paint the bathrooms pink?”
“No.”
“Even though it’s my favorite color?”
“No.”
“Can I put Daisy’s name on the mailbox? As you know she’s way more human than dog.”
“No.”
I just don’t feel like he’s being supportive of my needs as a shoe whore/pink obsessed/crazy dog lady.

This reminds me to be thankful that I found a boyfriend who was cool with me painting the bathroom pink, decorating it all Hello Kitty and bringing home 5 cats. He truly deserves some sort of trophy. Maybe I’ll make him one. 😀
Your Posts crack me up! Where have you been hiding?!
Funny! Damn relatives:)
Very unsupportive. Punish him by painting the entire house pink.
just do it while he is at work. he is a man – way too lazy to undo anything. yeah he might get mad, but all you gotta say is hey you can “fix” it anytime you want. If my experience is any indicator, it will stay forever
What it really comes down to is whether or not he’ll buy tampons for you.
I’d let you go salmon, but not pink … need just enough orange in there to make it seem semi-manly in a girlie way.
But I’m not your brother, and you’re not contemplating living with me … so I’ll keep my bathroom walls white, as they are now.
He’ll come round to your suggestions. Probably.
just tell ben that pink is the new black.
Brothers are bloody selfish like that!!!
Could make joke about Ben finally brainwashing you into liking NASCAR but must refrain, so you’ll actually move in…
We know you are really the boss. I’m actually surprised you asked rather than just painted the walls and put daisy’s name up.
Ben sounds like a selfish bastard. I would paint the whole place pink..inside and out.
You know those old ladies who wear way too much make-up? It’s because their bathrooms are pink and the color/lighting affect make-up application. I vote for a compromise: One pink wall in one of the bathrooms, as an accent. Or just paint everything pink and tell Ben he can undo it, that was a good idea as well. No matter what, Suburbia is cool and it’s calling for you.
