Hi, I’m Chris. I’m guest blogging for Sarah today.

Through a series of recent events, the idea of resurrecting this blog for Sarah’s Mother’s Day present seemed like a good idea. When Sarah found out what I was doing she asked me to write a guest post to commemerate the occasion, so here I am. Consider yourself commemerated.

While the vast majority of this blog’s archive is most definitely not related to Sarah being a mom, it is very much a celebration of the journey Sarah took to becoming one. The first dates, the schenanigans, the eye rolls… it’s all here. You’ll even find comments that date back all the way to 2005 when Sarah started over on blogspot.

Before I part, I just want to wish Sarah a happy Mother’s Day. I wish you all could see the daily work she puts in crafting a little mini-Sarah that is full of wit and (c)harm. Not only is our kid very much learning when it’s appropriate to call someone a god damn mother fucker, but she’s also learning how to stand up for what she believes in and fight for a better world. You can even hear the sass from a mile away… just like a certain someone who used to blog.

Happy Mother’s Day, Sarah. I hope you find joy in these memories.
