Not a Mundane Monday

Today on the way to work I saw a man on the sidewalk with a shotgun. A shotgun has no place in downtown Salt Lake City, so obviously he was about to go on a killing spree. I did what anyone would do, I freaked out. I was stuck in traffic and couldn’t go anywhere so I started calling everyone I love to tell them goodbye.
Just as traffic started moving again I saw the man walk into Gallenson’s Gun Shop. I felt like a over-dramatic idiot. So many apologies to all those who receive rambling voice mails today, and to those of you who didn’t… you’re welcome.

I never got the call. Guess I know where I fit in your “who I’m gonna call when I’m dying list”.
Are you sure it wasn’t Sarah Palin?
In this instance a good-bye tweet would have been totally appropriate. Thankfully, you didn’t need it in the end!
I didn’t get a call, which only deepens my growing unhappiness with you. You better do something quick to buy back my friendship or you’ll lose me.
Your posts never fail to make me laugh.
It’s strange but there are so many people who hunt around me that I probably wouldn’t bat an eyelash.
I work with alot of Canadians who can’t even fathom the fact that anyone here can carry a gun with a permit.
Scares the shit out of them.
Umm, after that shooting happened at the mall in your town I would have freaked out too!
I would think being from a small town and all that seeing someone walking down the street with a shotgun wouldn’t phase you. Guess you have truly forgotten your roots.
oh god that sounds like something i’d do.. funny stuff, but i can imagine it would have been so scary at the time!
Guns scare me. That sounds totally crazy and should be illegal. I would have at least put it in some sort of case or container to transport it.
Creepy.
I might have gunned the engine and ran him over. I still get a little creeped out going into Trolley.
hehe, I totally would’ve thought the same thing 🙂
too funny!
